A story from the radio..

I overheard a story over the radio yesterday...

There was a couple, who deeply loved each other for 5 years. The boy doted the girl to bits, giving in to her all the time.. no matter if shes in wrong or he is in wrong.

One day, the girl went for work, and the work lasted for the whole day. The boy did not call her up, in fear that he would disturb her. When the girl came home at night, she was very angry at him because while she was missing him, he did not call. She was quite harsh with her words on the sms and even mentioned about breaking off. The time was 12 mid night.

The boy was very upset and called her several times. She rejected all the calls. The boy rushed to her house immediately at 12.20 a.m because he didn't want to lose her. He called her at 12.40pm and she rejected the call again. After that, he did not ring her up anymore...

The next day, the phone rang. It was his mother on the other line, crying. The boy met into a car accident at 12.30 a.m and the police told them that his car was traveling at a very high speed and hence caused the accident. He passed away at the scene.

After some time, the girl wanted to see what he was carrying when the accident happened. His mother hand over his blood stained clothes, his watch and his cellphone. She checked his cellphone and saw that his last call made was at 12.40 a.m, and it was the last call she rejected. With his watch stopped at 12.30 a.m, she then realised that he used his last bit of strength to ring her up and because she was still throwing tantrums, she rejected the call.

Nobody knows what the boy wanted to tell the girl but she knows that she will never find another man that loves her like he did.

The moral of the story is quite strong -- cherish the person while you can, don't wait till it becomes too late.

Personal Space

Personal Space is defined as an area with invisible boundaries surrounding a person's body into which intruders may not come.

My grandma is coming to stay with me for sometime.... when i'm siting for my exams... What more can i say? hahaha... I feel so unfilial by saying that but hey~!! My cousins are having holiday, they've got a maid and they stay in a beautiful condo!! Jeez..

Have you ever?

Have you ever seen a very beautiful lady in the MRT who fight for a seat?

Have you ever seen a room so nice that you wish you could have it?

Have you ever peeped over you friends shoulder and see all 'your' grades on their report sheet?

Have you ever missed somebody so badly that you'll beat him up later on?

Have you ever scolded somebody for doing something in your dreams?

Have you ever wished you could go to the nearest apartment and just spent the night?

Have you ever had a series of unfortunate events?

Have you ever shopped online and forget to sleep?

Have you ever felt that you are so proficient in statistics?

Have you ever been so tired because you have to work, study, do assignment and make time for everybody?

Have you ever reunite with a friend that you thought he/she was long gone?

Have you ever did so much for somebody and get everything you don't want back?

If you answered yes to all the above question, you would have experienced the same thing as me for a past few weeks...! Hahaha... what a wonderful life.

Proud of myself!

Hello! I'm in my last brain and behaviour tut. MUAHAHA! Time flies..... its time for my 2nd year first sem exams soon! Okok.. time to start my 1st round of revision!

I've gotten 1 more tutee! Its a tpy lorong 1, kinda.. far. Buts okie, he pays well. hehehe! I just went to teach him before my class... and i've one more student after my class later. SOBz.. so tiring! I use to be able to sleep on the average 8 hours per day, but now, because of my tuition and school, i have to sleep late to finish my assignments. On the average... i sleep 5 hours max! But luckily! I can still manage to finish my assignments on time. *phew* I'm proud of myself!

There are a series of unfortunate events at home...! My mum, my grandma. Sometimes i wonder why i can keep up the notion of me having a wonderful life. Sigh..

But then again... I'm still loving my busy life, tiring indeed, but thats what makes some other beautiful things more beautiful in my life!

Just some thoughts..

I had a wonderful day yesterday....! It was my 1st year anniversary with Gabriel! Yayyyyy! I really appreciate for what he has done for me and continue appreciating and respecting our relationship! =D

I always wanted to update my blog everyday... but i'm recently busier then a bumble bee! My mid term tests were disastrous..... eek....! I'm trying hard not to worry about it yet and just work on my lab report. Geez.

I came across an advertisment on Discovery Travel and Living, it presents a beautiful city girl who loves traveling back to India. She said this at the end of the commercial... ".... reminds me that no matter what we are doing, everyone of us just want to be happy". I pondered on this statement for quite some time... and I think its kinda true! No matter if you are a billionaire... or a begger, all we want is to be happy. We shop because it makes us feel good, we study because we know that it can give us a good job with a good salary and in turn, make us feel good, we comply to ppl to make our life easier, travel to make us feel relax and we celebrate to make us feel and share the joy. Maybe its really true that humans are driven by the pleasure centre... and our main purpose for all actions is just to be happy? Hahahahaha... perhaps some of u can share your views with me!

Lotsa Gay and Lesbians talk these days.. theres a few pages discussion on that on The New Paper today. I don't have homosexual phobia, I can accept them as be part of my community actually. Did anyone realise that often, males can accept lesbians but not gays and females can accept gays and not lesbians? Could it just be our self serving bias? Usually, people who are gay phobic argue that homosexuality are not normal. I beg a differ. What defines normal? If majority is normal, then we can't be sure because the total number of homosexuals who admit they are homosexuals plus those who deny that they are homosexual and plus those who are in between... the number could be overwhelming. I agree that homosexual is against religious teaching, I believe strongly in the teaching of buddism too. However, given the number of heterosexual couples who ditched their children, perhaps the idea of homosexual adoption ain't that bad afterall. I won't be surprise that the child might have roles confusion later on in life... but who knows it could also remove the gender bias roles and thinking all together as well? Many people say that being a gay is cool. But i feel that homosexuality are not cool, it is a form of sexuality, not a fashion. It faces many objections and hardships. Many at times, we see reports of their promiscious activities in clubs but there are also couples who are truely in love. By giving them acceptance and the chance to enjoy equal rights as the heterosexual couples, it might help them to enjoy more quality relationships. Nothing is for sure.. I wouldn't really know. Some claimed that they are borned this way and some claim that others influenced them, they can be both right but i think it all boils down to choice. And my religion teaches me to respect everybody and everybody's choice. =)

Boring night..

Yawns! I'm so so sleepy... had to stay up till 3am to study for my test today.. and the test was super mega duper difficult!!!! =( I'm feeling so ultra lazy to do my anthropology work... aaaaaahhhhh!!!

I'm feeling kinda low recently.. many things happened and I just don't want to talk about it. Hai! But thank god I've some people to support me all the while.. thanks dears! I hope all this agony will be ending soon... can't stand the mere thought of it. Sickening.

Let me share an interesting information i've got in one of my journel articles in anthrpology.
"In the world of girls, basically girls learn to do 3 things with words: 1) to create & maintain relationships of closeness & equality, 2) to criticize others in acceptable ways, and 3) to inerpret accurately the speech of other girls."

The forgotten Island

Can you guess this place? Hmm... I think it'll be quite hard to guess right...? Hehehe! Its our little treasure island -- Pulau Ubin.
I went there with Carol, Gabriel and Chermaine last thursday! It was really fun and relaxing to return back to the nature. A day without my phone ringing feels kinda good. We packed our own lunch and shared our food on the island. We met an amazing old man who truly display the animisim beliefs!! He showed us some edible flowers and leaves, and of course, told us some paranomal stories. As we cycled, we met another man quite often... and everytime we see him, he'll ask if we were enjoying outselves. Hahahahahha! We also met an uncle in the Thai temple. He have got quite a fury temper!!! He scolded me for having ALL of the bicycles blocking his way... and insist that i shouldn't say sorry. -_-" But he is quite nice actually... he talked to me after he had finish lecturing me. But hEYYyYY, not all the bikes are mine!! Hehehe! The trip has been quite an eye opener for me actually.... felt as though i've came to an island without strangers.
I think I really love this Island now! Maybe its because we're always flooded by technology, we have become somewhat impaitient to even wait 0.3secs more for the page to load on our computer. Hahahaha!! So.. take a break! =) Enjoy!

Such a lazy week....

I've got my PY1102 results today! Happppy with myself...! I was rather surprised to see the distinction coz the paper was tough and while I was still busy writing, almost half of the ppl were gone! I remembered that Justin and Lakshmi who came in late for the paper, finished it earlier then me.. and I just got enough time to end my essays. Phew! I guess the marking for this paper was kinda strict since everyone got gd grades for the report assignment but not everyone got the expected grades at the end.... and they can't give distinction to everybody right... Hmm... I bet those smarty classmates got high distinction regardless of the marking!!!!!

I did some reading for Brain and behaviour today... I don't understand why must I memories all the parts when I can always look for the book even if i'm a doctor right.......!?! It was difficult enough to memorise just the cortex and the effects of their damages in sem 1... and now i've to go through everythinggggggg!!! like... every tiny winy bit with all the substance names.. and the horrible thing is, I still have to do in detail in year 3! Geez. HoWever (I'm gonna contradict myself now), I think i might choose to do neuropsychology! Heheheehehee....! Although theres alot of things to remember and to learn, but hey, every discipline is tough for everyone. I'm sure we used to find remembering ABC tough as well.. but I'm sure all will be good later on.. It can't be TaaaaaaaT bad right?

Its such a lazy week.... mid term test coming right up next week.... sometimes I wonder how I came thus far.
